Jimmy Jammer, Cliff Crevasse and Skip Stones

Gordon Cross, (Jimmy Jammer) brings a wide variety of business and outdoor experience to the Highway to Heaven project. He was born in West Orange, New Jersey and completed secondary school in Rhode Island before graduating from Harvard University in 1971. Gordon was a cowboy in Texas, a carpenter in Illinois and later settled in northern Vermont where he opened a restaurant in a 100-year old general store. That began a lifelong interest in historic renovation that eventually led to Savannah, Georgia. There he operated an award winning historic preservation contracting company. In 1984 he led a group that purchased and restored The Partridge Inn, a landmark hotel in Augusta, Georgia. Gordon has been a resident of Whitefish Montana for twelve years, though he still manages the hotel in Georgia. His interest in the outdoors began in childhood with canoeing trips to Main and continues unabated. He has spent considerable time in northern Canada and has canoed the length of the storied Nahani River in the Northwest Territories. Gordon has taken countless trips throughout Glacier Park and is delighted to be bringing its many wonders to a wider audience. You can contact Gordon at hiland@digisys.net.
